Sometimes, even the strongest of us need to be reminded that we are not alone. So remember this: Whatever else is going on in this physical, human realm, God is always closer to you than you are to yourself. That's a line from A.W. Tozer, and it's always stuck with me. It's an amazing statement and it's absolutely true.
Think about it. He is always closer to you than you are to yourself.
Now recognize that He also arranges for some of His children to think about you, pray for you, miss you, love you, and crave His very best for you. You are not alone, though you may feel lonely.
You may wonder who on this earth, in this life, cares about you and prays for you. I can't give you the specifics, but I guarantee you that He has His children praying for you. He has placed you on the heart of someone somewhere, or more likely the hearts of several people in several places.
They may not know you personally. They may not know your name or recognize your face. They may even be in some other part of the world, but I guarantee you that He has assigned prayers and compassion for you through some of His other children.
Why? Because He wants us to care deeply for each other and He wants you to be overwhelmed with a sense of His love for you. He wants to birth in you an over-comer's sense of well-being, the kind that the world can't take away because the world didn't give it.
You are already His precious child. He is growing you into something totally new and ever more precious: a child who has been bought by the blood of Jesus and who is now becoming conformed to the image of that very same Jesus.
Embrace His dreams for you, even though you can only catch glimpses of them from here. Whatever they turn out to be, get excited knowing they're far better than anything you can imagine to imagine. His dreams for you are the reason you were created.
It's going to be good, really good. Anything and everything was made by Jesus, through Jesus, and for Jesus. He didn't do all of that so He could be miserable with this creation forever. His dreams for us make Him happy.
