He is Especially Fond of You

Tonight, this is what I hear the Lord telling me to share. He is especially fond of you. Yes, you. He is also especially fond of this Sister over here and that Brother over there, and of each one in between. He has a special and unique fondness for each Christ follower. He loves us all the same, yet He loves each of us differently. That sounds like a contradiction, but it's not. Let me explain.

His love is consistent and shows no favorites. His love fills every part of Him. Wherever we touch Him, it's the same. But He also has a special and unique fondness for each of His children.

Each Believer has been bought by Jesus’ sacrifice. Each Believer belongs to Jesus. He is your Messiah, the Lamb of God and the great Shepherd of the Sheep. He is customizing you. You touch His heart like no other Believer can or ever will. I don't know what all of that means, but I know it's true.

Is He content with where you and I are in our faith walk with Him? Of course not. He knows there's much, much more to do in us and through us and around us. But I don't think He's worried about that because He is incredibly determined to complete the good work He has begun in each of us. He loves that you're on that path with Him. He loves it when you trust Him to finish what He started. He loves being on that path with you!

Jesus knows everything about where you've been, where you are now, and where He’s taking you. It's where He’s taking you that excites Him the most. And where is that, you ask. Well, Jude 24 tells us that He’s taking you to the Father where He will "present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy".

In Jesus, you’re not a carbon copy of me or of anyone else. You are uniquely you and will remain unique. You will be clothed in His purity, His absolute and total righteousness, shining with His glory. He will give you a new name that says what you mean to Him. No one else will have your name.

He loves all of His children with the same exquisite, pure Love, because that is His unchanging nature. But He also has a special and unique fondness for each of us. Each Believer is being prepared for a one of a kind place in His heart. Your place in His heart is customized for you and you are being customized for it. Perfectly customized. Think of it as your own room, a room that’s alive because it’s in His heart. It’s reserved for you.

You are the only key that can open the door to your special place. He has held onto your place in His heart for eternity. He is thrilled that you're getting closer and closer to the time when you're a perfect fit. Yes, He is especially fond of you.

And now, grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come.  (Revelation 1:4). Trust Him. Trust what's in His heart for you. He loves it when you do that.
