Welcome! I'm so glad you're here! This website looks at what's in God's heart about us and for us. Ultimately, it's really about what's in God's heart for Himself.

Most importantly, surrender completely to His love, His forgiveness through Jesus, His ways, and His transformation.
Trust Him! Trust Him to work in you both to will and to do His good pleasure.

This is exciting stuff! This is life's real adventure! Through His Word and His spiritual presence, may we come to know Him as He wants to be known. May we see things more from His perspective and less from our own.

Brother Mark

Israel Under Attack: The Real Battle, Part 2

The original "Israel Under Attack: The Real Battle", was getting a bit long, so I've broken it into two parts. This is Part 2. Click here for Part 1

I was stirred to begin writing these comments in October 2023, in the midst of the evil, murderous attacks on Israel by Hamas, Hezbollah, and others. They're supported by the leaders of Iran. These are wicked, demon-driven attacks.

Around the world, calls for destruction and violence against Jews are loud and spreading.

Here, in Part 2, I want to further clarify God’s thoughts on all of this.

If you don’t like what I’m saying, take it up with the Bible.

Scripture guarantees that the Jewish people will one day turn in large numbers to Jesus, their promised Messiah. It will happen.

You should read all of those passages for yourself, but I'm just going to read from Romans 11:25-27 for now.

...Blindness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved, as it is written: “The Deliverer will come out of Zion, And He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; For this is My covenant with them, When I take away their sins."

The Lord Jesus wants all people, Jew and Gentile alike, to turn in surrender and faith, beginning a love relationship with Him. He trying to get people into heaven, not keep them out.

In His sovereignty, He gave all people free will. Each person has a God-given ability to accept or reject His rescue. He wants to be loved, but only because you choose to love Him! He will not overrule anyone’s free will.

Our Creator desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1st Timothy 2:4. But it's your choice.

The Lord loves everyone but He’ll have no other choice than to push away those who reject being made right with Him through Jesus. For more on this, check out the God's Clay God's Way episodes titled God’s Love vs Hell and It Really Is All About Jesus.

Revelation 22:17 tells us that

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let the one who hears say, “Come!” Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life.

He's waiting for you!

God is calling His Born Again sons and daughters to pray. It’s our job to bless, so pray that blessings of repentance and faith will rise up in the hearts of those who rebel against God. Pray that God will succeed in drawing ever-increasing numbers of Jews and Gentiles alike to Himself. In Jeremiah 31:3, the Lord says

I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with loving-kindness I have drawn you.

As you pray, remember that Christians should never speak a curse over anyone! Not ever! Romans 12:14 says

Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.

Remember this from 2 Corinthians 10:3 and 4 in the NIV:

For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.

And James 5:16 says that

The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.

In prayer, remember the Lord’s covenant with Abraham in Genesis 15:18, giving the Jewish people the land of Canaan.

Psalm 122:6 tells us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. So do it. Pastors are responsible to teach that to God’s people, but few actually do.

Here’s another good verse to pray, Psalm 7:9:

Let the wickedness of the wicked come to an end, but establish the just.

Also remember Psalm 37:35 & 36:

I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a native green tree. Yet he passed away, and behold, he was no more.

Philippians 2:10 & 11 tells us that, on Judgement Day, everyone who ever lived, including every lost person, will stand before Jesus and acknowledge Him, but by then it will be too late to do the lost any good.

As for the hostages being held by terrorists, I often pray this from Psalm 79:11:

Let the groaning of the prisoner come before You; According to the greatness of Your power preserve those who are appointed to die.

And, as if you need a reminder, Psalm 64:10 states clearly how things will ultimately turn out:

The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and trust in Him. And all the upright in heart shall glory.

How and when will all of this happen? We don’t know the specifics, but we know the One who stands behind that promise. That promise still applies.

So let’s bow our knees before the Lord and get to work. It's time for serious prayer. It's time to intercede for the souls of men everywhere, and especially for the Jewish people! Let Scripture guide and empower your prayers.

I want to close this episode with Psalm 124:2-8:

If the Lord had not been on our side when people attacked us, They would have swallowed us alive when their anger flared against us;

The flood would have engulfed us, the torrent would have swept over us, The raging waters would have swept us away.

Praise be to the Lord, who has not let us be torn by their teeth. We have escaped like a bird from the fowler’s snare; the snare has been broken, and we have escaped.

Our help is in the name of the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.
